Katy Heller's initial business experience was developing an understanding of legal documentation as a paralegal working for WALLACE, KLOR & MANN in Portland. Attracted to the real estate field she accepted a position as Building Manager at Cushman & Wakefield in a Class A downtown Portland highrise. Katy went on to work for SPIEKER PROPERTIES in Lake Oswego, as Property Manager for 440,000 sf of Class A office space. She was responsible for working with prospective tenants, and assisted in negotiations and execution of lease agreements. And with space planning and organization of tenant improvements etc.

Her experience included assisting in a major building renovation on a 300,000 sf project which included responsibility for coordinating and scheduling all construction work with contractors and sub-contractors and ensuring tenants were not inconvenienced . And making sure that all change orders were within budget guidelines + punch list items completed .

Katy then worked for Commercial Space Online in Portland and Seattle where she had responsibility for tracking space availabilities throughout the Puget Sound. This included producing quarterly reports of vacancies and office absorption statistics for the brokerage community who subscribe to OSO. She then joined the Schuster Group in Bellevue WA as Property Manager for 7 suburban retail and office buildings.

Katy graduated from Reynolds High School in Gresham Oregon before attending Mt Hood Community College and achieving an associates degree as legal assistant from Western Business College of Oregon in 1992. She, her husband and son are active in their church as members of the Global Impact Team helping women and children in Burundi and Kenya. as well as families of ElCid in Mazatlan, Mexico.
